This post is based on my second visit to Chamber’s. Chef @brettmuller__ personally invited me back as he wasn’t around on my first visit. I also got to experience grilling my own Wagyu Tomahawk with his guidance!
Chef let me season one side of the steak by myself, and also guided me to char the steak on the grill for 3 minutes each side, then he finished it off in the oven.
The Wagyu Tomahawk (RM650/1.1kg) came out Medium to Medium-well instead of Medium Rare.
Although it was overcooked, it was better than the rare steak that I had from my first visit. The steak was juicy and well-seasoned.
It also came with 3 sides of my choice (Not featured). Truffle fries weren’t crispy but there was a light truffle aroma. Asparagus and Roasted vegetables were forgettable.
Bay Scallops (RM75) was definitely better compared to the last visit! They were plump and well-seasoned. Better plating too.
Foie Gras (RM55) itself required more sear but it was creamy inside. Had to pair it with the Apple Chutney as the Foie Gras itself was quite tasteless.
Chef mentioned he will make arrangements for the appetiser but I wasn’t expecting a Baby Gem Lettuce Salad (RM45) because I’m not a fan of salads, let alone paying RM45 for it. Nothing extraordinary. The blue cheese taste wasn’t very strong (Can’t appreciate it anyway).
Tiramisu was complimentary by Chef.
The manager was very attentive. Appreciate that they invited me back too.
I appreciate their effort on inviting me back even though I wasn’t very happy with the fact that my steak was overcooked. Thank god it tasted good!
