This post is based on 7-Course Menu (RM488+) by Chateau Dionne.

Visited them before their official launch and this has just become one of my favourite places for French Cuisine in KL!

Australian Wagyu Oyster Blade MB6 was the star of the night. Cooked Medium-rare, the texture was so soft and tender, it was closer to a Japanese Wagyu than an Australian Wagyu!

The Foie Gras & Truffle Jus was rich, mash was smooth and creamy!

Canadian Lobster was sweet juicy, Lobster & Salmon Ravioli was aldente and was surprisingly a great combo (was worried that it’ll be fishy). The Lobster Jus made from Lobster Shell added lots of flavour!

Halibut was moist, skin had a light crisp, but the Yuzu Kosho in the Spinach Sauce was quite mild. The Brunoise added a sour touch to the fish.

Amuse Bouche of Salmon cured with Beetroot was rich. The Parmesan cheese crumbles added cheesy flavour.

Foie Gras was fatty but would’ve been better if it had a little more sear on top. Grapes added sweetness, and that Port Wine Jus with shallots was very flavourful!

Hokkaido Scallops Carpaccio was marinated in Dill and the vegetables added crunchy texture. Quite refreshing.

Yogurt Espuma was sour and Raspberry Sorbet was sweet. Very refreshing!

Skipped the Cheese dessert because I’m not big on cheese.

Chef replaced it with a Deconstructed Lemon Tart. It was sweet and sour, combination of creamy, crunchy and jelly textures. Slightly sweet, but acceptable.

Complimentary Snacks of Ikura Tartlet was lightly crispy but Ikura was slightly fishy. Truffle Bun was crunchy and had strong truffle aroma.

Petite Four of Madeleines & Dark Chocolate Truffles were great!

Complimentary bread was lightly crispy.

Owner & Chef were very interactive. Both of them shared their experiences in F&B overseas, and how the restaurant emerged due to MCO.
