This post is based on ala carte menu by Prime. All orders were recommended by the waiter.

Prime was my No.1 choice whenever it comes to steaks, but sadly this visit was nowhere close to being great. Thankfully they made it up to me, and my faith in this place has been restored!

Food:

Ordered my usual Wagyu Prime Rib 1.42kg (RM72/100g) Medium Rare and it came Rare in the middle. The whole Prime Rib was straight up bland. This is my first time experiencing this here (probably after more than 10 visits) and it really upset me to see how much the quality has dropped.

Sent it back to the kitchen on the first time and it came back medium-rare but was still bland. Sent back for the second time and it became medium-well.

The manager decided to replace the whole Wagyu Prime Rib with a new piece (RM759/1.16kg) and it came back perfect! Seasoning was on point, and it was perfect medium-rare.

Crab Cakes (RM68) were crispy outside, filled with shredded crab meat inside but it was a tad bland.

Seared Scallops (RM92) with Foie Gras was quite pathetic and was nothing extraordinary.

Cream Cheese Tart (RM38) was still as good as I remembered. Tasted similar to New York Cheesecake!

Apple Strudel (RM32) wasn’t flakey, but loved the apple and cinnamon flavour from the filling!

Complimentary bread used to be better, now it was okay.

Amuse Bouche of Broccoli Shot was slightly creamy.

Disclaimer:

Didn’t try the fish and other ala carte this time but I remembered the Cod Fish used to be good. Have never tried their individual steaks too so I will reserve my ratings and judgment for that.
