Sushi Hibiki

This post is based on Miyabi Course (RM900 Nett) by Sushi Hibiki.

Food:

The food quality was there, but portions were way too small. Still felt hungry after finishing the course (even after adding on 3 sushi). Price was also quite steep. It was my first time walking out of an Omakase dinner still feeling both hungry and dissatisfied. Had to go for second round 🤷🏻‍♀️

Shari was flavourful, firm and was maintained at room-tempt. Sadly, the sushi was still small even after requesting for extra shari, and 7 pieces of sushi just wasn’t enough. Some of the appetisers were also quite pathetic.

My highlight for the night was Young Bluefin Tuna Sushi (7-4). It was something I’ve never had before. Too bad, the portion was baby-sized too.

Awabi (3) was very tender, but only had 2 sliced.

Added on Ika & Hokigai Sushi (7-3&4) but they were nothing special. Didn’t like the radish roll too.

At this price, I’ll be having a much more satisfying meal at Ori, with better portions for sure!

Service:

Specifically requested 3 times during reservation to be seated in front of the Head Chef, and the staff overlooked it. Thankfully we managed to switch seats halfway through the appetisers.

RM50/pax was collected upfront as deposit.

Ambience:

Japanese interior with dim lighting. Counter seats and side tables are available.

Disclaimer:

Images are not arranged according to courses. My first experience at Sushi Hibiki last year was very unpleasant. This time was slightly better, but still not great.
