Will I come back: Maybe
Pork-free, serves alcohol
This post is based on Afternoon Soirée Menu for 2pax (RM380+) by The Brasserie. This menu is available every Friday & Saturday, 3-5pm.
The dessert platter was a substitute to the cheese plater which was requested prior to reservation due to dietary restrictions.
The menu consist of mainly savouries. If you’re a savoury & cheese person, you’ll enjoy this. I love a balance of sweet and savouries, so this wouldn’t be satisfying for me if I wasn’t offered the complimentary dessert platter.
Red Tuna Tartare with Avocado was slightly fishy, tartlet wasn’t buttery.
Churros with Caviar was okay-crispy. Quite decent.
‘Pissaladieree’ Caramelised Onions, Anchovies and Black Olives were lightly crispy, sweet and sour.
‘Croque Monsieur’ with Black Truffle, Comte Cheese and Cecina was my favourite. Toast was lightly crispy, savoury and great truffle aroma.
Mini Black Truffle Croissant had strong truffle flavour and mushroom filling, but the croissant wasn’t buttery and flaky.
Maine-style Crab Roll with Lemon Mayonnaise had very strong mayonnaise flavour, quite “jelak” after 2 bites. Bun was dry too.
I specifically asked (a week before making reservation) if the chef could replace it he cold cuts and cheese platter with something else due to dietary restrictions and the chef managed to accommodate my request 🙏🏻
Couldn’t appreciate the Cold Cuts & Artisanal Cheese Board with Homemade Bread. But if you like cheeses, you’ll enjoy this. Portion was generous tho!
The dessert platter is the same platter that was served in their Sunday Jazz Brunch - which I enjoyed! Sadly this not included in their menu.
Baked Alaska (Contains alcohol) was creamy outside, layered with vanilla cake and ice cream with orange zest inside. Quite good but sadly this was the only “sweets” from the whole menu.
2 drinks were included in the menu, and I opted for a Mocktail.
Personally prefer the Afternoon Tea at The Drawing Room.
