This post is based on Mid-Autumn Festival Mooncake Afternoon Tea (RM188/set) by The Lounge. This set is available until 30th September!

One of the most highly-priced Afternoon Tea Sets I’ve had in KL, but the quality was great!

The spread was than the Regular Afternoon Tea Set in terms of quality.

Loved everything from this section!

My favourite was the Durian Cheesecake, but make sure to have it last as the durian flavour is quite strong.

Green Tea Opera was more towards the milky profile, but it was soft and creamy.

Raspberry Szechuan Pepper Macaroon wasn’t too sweet and barely had pepper taste (thank god)!

Mango Ginger Tart had stronger mango than ginger flavour.

Lychee Choux Puff was filled with lychee-flavoured cream with chopped lychee.

Sandwiches were slightly smaller, but they were definitely some of the best sandwiches I’ve had for Afternoon Tea!

Chili Crab was my favourite. Crab meat was fresh and spicy, very flavourful! Braised Beef Shank was soft and tender.

Salmon was a tad salty but acceptable. BBQ Duck kinda tasted like char siew! Egg was creamy and slightly spicy.

Both scones were slightly dry and not as buttery anymore. Red Bean Scones was sweeter, wasn’t really a fan of the Sesame Scones (weird aftertaste).

Butler Passed:

Mini Egg Tarts were flakey and buttery. BBQ Chicken Puffs tasted like Char Siew filling. Both tasted exactly like the ones from Yun House!

Signature Tiramisu Mooncake was smooth and not too sweet. Wished there was more since it was a Mooncake Afternoon Tea after all.

Ordered my usual Signature Tropical Blend and Peach Tea. Both were fruity teas.

The original price was RM188, but they offer 15% discount for a few banks (Please check with them during reservation) hence it was slightly more affordable (hence the rating) compared to full price!
